The Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke has presented the sum of 390 billion Naira as the 2025 budget proposal to the Osun State House of Assembly.
Adeleke, while presenting the budget proposal to the state house of Assembly yesterday, said it demonstrates his administration’s dedication towards accelerating socio-economic development in the state, explaining that the budget is aimed at improving infrastructure, enhancing social services, and fostering economic growth.
The proposed budget allocates 144.231 billion Naira for capital expenditure, which includes funds intended for infrastructure development, healthcare facilities, education improvements, and other projects meant to boost the state’s physical and social infrastructure.
On the other hand, the recurrent expenditure allocated to the budget amounts to 245.797 billion Naira which covers the state’s operational costs, including salaries and other government administrative expenses.
Governor Adeleke expressed confidence that the proposed budget will support ongoing projects and launch new initiatives and further urged the Assembly members to support the budget, stating that the proposed spending aligns with his administration’s vision of fostering inclusive growth and sustainable development.
