The Federal Government, through the Ministry of Women Affairs, has honoured Abibat Mogaji, the late mother of President Bola Tinubu by naming the ICT block at the Maryam Babangida National Centre for Women Development, MBNCWD after her.
The Women Affairs minister, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, made this known yesterday at the unveiling ceremony in Abuja.
She described late Mogaji as a resilient matriarch and champion of women’s empowerment, emphasizing her steadfast commitment to advancing the welfare of women and her exceptional efforts in building a more compassionate society, one where no one is left behind.
Also, the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, represented by wife of the Vice President, Nana Shettima, said the unveiling of the new name of the ICT block should serve as a symbol of their commitment to work harder for women’s rights and to honor their contributions to the country.
