Afrobeats singer, DAVIDO, has reflected on his career success after achieving a personal milestone on Spotify, saying he built his career from the ground up

The superstar recently reached 11 million monthly listeners on Spotify for the first time in his career, following the release of his fifth studio album, 5ive.

In response, DAVIDO proudly stated that unlike many of his peers who had musical godfathers at the start of their journeys, such as record label executives, he built his career from the ground up without the help of any godfather.

He further accredited his success to God, quality music, and the unwavering support of his fans.
