In a significant gesture of solidarity, the Igbo think tank, AKA IKENGA, under the leadership of the 10th President, Agbalanze CHIKE MADUEKE, yesterday paid a courtesy visit to the Abia State Governor, ALEX OTTI, commending him for his developmental strides in the state.
The Igbo group during the visit, outlined their agenda, focusing on the development of the South East through infrastructural projects, addressing security challenges, as well as promoting regional integration.
While emphasizing Aka Ikenga’s core principles, “AKU LUO UNO” and “AKO N’ UCHE,” the president of the group, MADUEKE, encouraged Igbos in the diaspora to prioritize home investments and adopt a more strategic approach in political matters, and further appealed to the governor to lead the way in uniting Ndi Igbo toward the shared goals of development and security in the South East.
The governor, in his response, lauded the organization for its role in encouraging Igbos to invest at home, and further reiterated his commitment to the region’s economic growth and security, specifically highlighting the development of a technology hub as a priority.
FAVOUR EKOH who was present at the event, reports that the courtesy visit also had in attendance; some executive members of Aka Ikenga both at the national and state levels, including the Vice President of the group, Abia state chapter, UCHE AMAJOR , Vice president, Anambra State chapter, TONY NWAKAEZE , Vice president, Enugu state chapter, JOE OKOLO and COLINNS, among others.
The highlight of the visit was the presentation of Aka Ikenga’s seal of Commendation award to Governor OTTI, in recognition of his administration’s achievement in the state.
